Lighting Resources President Speaks at Rare Earth Metals Forum

September 23, 2015

Dan Gillespie, President and Owner of Lighting Recourses, LLC was asked to speak at the EI Digest Gathering in San Diego about one of his new ventures to recycle rare earth metals from phosphorous powder recovered from recycled fluorescent lamps. Rare earth metals are required to manufacture almost all electronics including most of today’s military weapons. Recovering rare earth metals from all reasonable sources makes sense because the United States is almost entirely dependent on foreign countries for our supply of rare earth metals.

Lighting Resources, LLC is one of the nation’s largest recyclers of fluorescent bulbs and lamps, alkaline and lithium batteries, lamp ballasts, and related universal wastes. The EZ on the Earth Division is one of the nation’s largest providers of mail-back recycle kits for these types of wastes.
