20th Consecutive Year of Record Revenue and Profits

Simi Valley, Calif. – Lighting Resources, LLC, recently reported that its 2015 financial results include a 16-percent revenue increase over 2014 and a 39-percent increase in Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA). This makes the 20th year that the company, which recycles a variety of items from fluorescent tubes and lithium batteries to electronics and auto airbags, has seen steady growth with revenues and profits outpacing each previous year.

According to Dan Gillespie, president of Lighting Resources, "I am extremely pleased with our continued growth over the years in revenue and profitability. I am also very proud of our team of dedicated employees that have allowed us to be consistently successful for so many years."

The recycling company began with only three facilities and now operates 12 facilities across the United States plus a corporate headquarters in Simi Valley, California.

In 2015, Lighting Resources expanded operations with four new facilities — Johnson City Tennessee; Nashville, Tennessee; Memphis, Tennessee; and Kennesaw, Georgia. The Johnson City facility added new capabilities in electronics shredding and in auto airbag and safety restraint system (SRS) recycling and is now processing airbags from major automotive companies. Twenty-year recycling industry veteran Steve Barnett, founder of Southeast Recycling Technologies, Inc., joined the company to lead the Tennessee operations. Lighting Resources continued to experience strong financial performance in 2015 from the major process facilities in California, Indiana, Texas, and Florida. The company also added a fourth state-of-the-art Balcan lamp processing machine to its Phoenix operation.

EZ on the Earth, the mail-back recycling kit division of Lighting Resources, also contributed significantly to the company's financial results, with 49-percent growth for the division and the addition of many new affiliate and reseller partners as well as retail sales through a website and Amazon.com store.
According to Mr. Gillespie, there is plenty more to come: "I am very confident about the future of our organization.  I know we have the right team in place, and we will continue to aggressively add new locations and capabilities.  We are also very excited about the new campaign we are releasing in 2016 to continue our leap forward for the environment."
